I recently completed a research project at the Lower Hylebos Marsh. It is comparing the survival of sitka willow, black twinberry and red-osier dogwood planted across a riparian gradient (between 10 feet above sea level and 14 feet above sea level). Each species was planted in 3 stock types-livestake, bareroot and 1 gallon container, and it was also a comparison of which stock type survived the best within each species.
This paper will be available on our website soon, and I will be presenting my results in the Society for Ecological Restoration Conference in Yakima, in September.
