...catching up on some unresolved details from the week, cleaning my computer, blogging and listening to Arsenal (via the Internets) beat the snot out of Portsmouth 4-1.

Latest effort for Thinking Locally in the FW Mirror, talkin' about last week's HOV Lane groundbreaker. BTW, just 'cause I poke fun at Andy's series (which was a very good, informative series, BTW) on medical marijuana, I don't want to leave anyone with the impression that he advocates drug use. Gunner of the Month: Cesc Fabregas

He's young. His name is Spanish for Fabulous Footballer. And he's the Captain of Arsenal. Young Gunner Cesc Fabregas is the August Gunner of the Month. In one EPL game and one Champsions League game he's started the season right, controlling the midfield, igniting the offense with his pinpoint precise passes, and creating a scoring threat that unsettles opposing defenses.

Gunner of the Month: Samir Nasri

It's that time of the month again, Gunner Time. Looking at the page on my Arsenal FC calendar on the wall, it looks like newcomer Samir Nasri is the man. Though short in stature, the Frenchman is willing to mix it up with the big boys, and is not afraid to take the shot when he sees the goal. With his lightning quick skills on the ball, think of #8 as a Hleb with balls and heart.

Gunner of the Month: Abou Diaby

I'm bringing back one of the HyleBlog's most popular features (hey, read that any way you want): The Gunner of the Month. This exciting feature brings my Arsenal FC wall calendar, that is hanging on my actual office wall, to life for you, the HyleBlog reader.

Before we run out of March, here is Abou Diaby, Arsenal FC midfielder and March poster boy. The lanky  Frenchman has often been compared to his countrymen and fellow tall midfielder, former Arsenal great Patrick Vieira. However, while Diaby has shown flashes of promise he has yet to live up to the stature of Vieira. Could this be the season he proves his potential? With 8 games left, all I can say is that he'd better get working on that.

Winning us a few crucial games in the home stretch would be a great place to start!
