No great project is without its doubter, and the West Hylebos boardwalk is no exception.
'Sure, it's a spangly new boardwalk, with Trex decking and bumper rails, but how it will do when the trees start falling on it?' the naysayers would say (when they weren't saying 'nay' which when you think of it, is really what they say most of the time. But I digress...parenthetically, too).
Bam! Put that in that your wetland and grow it.
Here's a photo of Mary Longhurst, whom was interviewing me today at the park. (Wow, nice use of grammar, Chris. Seriously, I can write!) Mary is working on a video project as part of her Master's work at Antioch University, that will capture the last 25 years of the Friends of the Hylebos and the West Hylebos Wetlands. Yikes, that's a project!
Seriously, though, I'm excited about Mary's video project and was delighted to try to answer her questions on camera today. (She had great questions, too!)
And Mary, if someone asks you if you're the videographer again, just say, "yes!"
Watch out for falling trees, folks. I'll see you out in the West Hylebos.
