Opportunities to Learn More About Puget Sound Birds
My friends at Rainier Audubon of South King County are hosting several events for those of you interested in learning more about the Birds in the Puget Sound Area and beyond.
Third Monday of the Month Nature Programs
Rainier Audubon welcomes Dr Peter Hodum Director of the Juan Fernandez Island Conservancy in Chile. Dr. Hodum will speak at our Monday October 15th meeting,7:00pm at the Federal Way United Methodist Church, 29645 -51st Ave S, 98001. The Juan Fernandez Islands have been called the temperate conterpart of the Galapagos Islands.
Please join us as we learn about exotic birds in a unique and fascinating environment. Doors open at 6:30p, Famlies are welcome.

Introduction to Birding Class ~Begins on October 16th
This fall, Rainier Audubon will be again offer it's popular "Introduction to Birding Class" taught by Master Birder Carol Schulz. This enjoyable class will consist of three lectures (Tues. Oct. 16,23,30 ) and two fun and educational field trips ( Sat. Oct. 20 and 27th). Classes will be held at the Federal Way United Methodist Church, 29645 -51st Ave S, Auburn 98001.
