Biography
Chris Carrel is executive director for the Friends of the Hylebos Wetlands,
a Federal Way-based non-profit conservation organization working to protect
and restore the Hylebos Creek watershed and the West Hylebos Wetlands State
Park.
He has previously worked on environmental issues
ranging from federal public lands management to global warming and was an
award-winning environment and science journalist who has written on topics
ranging from mad cow disease to farmed salmon. He graduated from the
University of Washington with a B.A. in Political Science.
Chris and his wife Anna have three daughters. Chris enjoys playing soccer and running, playing guitar, gardening or just watching his daughters' soccer games (which he does a lot of).
Chris is a fervent supporter of Arsenal and Celtic FC.
