Happy Hylebos Monday (on a Tuesday)

Alright, so it's Monday...or, rather, Tuesday, but since we were all out celebrating Labor Day yesterday, then today is Monday. Clear enough? Alright, then. Let's get going.

First, a big congratulations to Restoration Coordinator Hillary Kleeb and Andrew "Bubba" Mason, who got married over the weekend! The wedding crew started the celebrations off last week with a Hylebos work party at the West Hylebos Wetlands!

Variations on a theme. Yesterday, I sat down for organic coffee and pumpkin bread at Marlene's with Hillary's predecessor, Katie Moller and her new husband Levent. It was nice to see Katie again, as it always is. And Levent is a good fellow whom I enjoyed getting to know. He also pointed out that Turkey has the #4 ranked soccer team in the world. (this is important to people like Levent and I, who follow such things) I know they'll be very happy together.

Ruby Dance is 25 days away. The closer it gets, the crazier it gets in our office as staff, board and volunteers are working like mad to prepare for the event. I'm a tad bit behind on finishing my presentation....so that's job one today. Aside from that, here's an article from the Pee-Eye about invasive species coming to town on cargo ships.
